NCO financial Systems Inc is threatening me over $5.20
Date: Tue, 06/02/2009 - 09:27
I get a letter in the mail from them yesterday saying that my credit rating may be in jeopardy. Over $5.20. My doctor's office sent me to collections with these folks over $5.20. Not only that, they sent me to collections over a $5.20 bill I already paid. They have the last date of service as 12/04/2008 but I paid the bill on 11/15/2008.
This morning I have had 2 calls already from these folks calling me a dead beat for $5.20. I told them I paid the bill last year. They called me a liar. I got my bank records and called my doctor's office to read them the riot act and to fire them cause I don't need this. Long story short, they were horrified that I was sent to collections over $5.20 and horrified that the payment they cashed wasn't applied. They are looking into it immediately. I told them that if I get one more phone call from these collection idiots it will not go well. I told them if I hadn't paid the bill I would have gotten $5.20 worth of pennies and sent it to them.
This should be handled by the end of the day, but I thought you all might get a kick out of the situation.
As a side note, thank you to all the regular posters. I have learned so much from you all and I appreciate you all sharing your knowledge with us.

Wow, $5.20.. I kept getting a bill from US Celluar for service
Wow, $5.20..
I kept getting a bill from US Celluar for service that I had 9 years ago. I argued with them over and over that their records were messed up and that I paid the bill...it was $19.29. I even moved a few times between 3 states and that bill always seemed to find me. It actually stopped about a year ago but I just couldn't believe they kept billing me for $19.29 for 9 years...my mom kept telling me to just pay it, I didn't feel I needed to since I already did..LOL
