:confused:I don't understand how when it is being disputed with the collection agency and the office of consumer protection. The collection agency told me yesterday they sent the dispute to directv on 6/1 and now all of a sudden it's being reported as of june/2011 negative. I really don't understand that!

The scenario is a bit confusing. What did you dispute, and who did you send it to? The OC or the debt collector? Was it a direct dispute, or through the CRA? Why did the debt collector refer it to the OC?
That is important because notification of filing of a dispute, and thus the subsequent ability of a party to make additional credit reporting during the dispute resolution process, is dependent upon who you disputed with

It started with Directv and they refunded me my initial dispute fo rhte early cancellation fee. They went into my bank account took $ 367.34 and the dispute was just starting I was called 2 days later and told I would be refunded $335 and I was and now they are trying to say I got refunded twice once for the 355 and the full 367.34 becaise I disputed it with my bank originally. My bank never disputed it because they saw that the money was refunded the only thing my bank gave me back was the 32.34 to cover the rest of the 335 they refunded me and now they say they sent it twice but my bank statement only shows one deposit from Directv they are trying to say my bank has the money and the dispute department said they never disputed it. So they sent it to a CA and I disputed it with them and sent all my dics also I have the Consumer protection involved the CA said they forwarded my dispute over to Directv on 6/1 and the negative information went on my report 6/15 is this right? Can they do this while it is still in dispute? I don't find it fair.
no it isn't fair,or right
send your proof that you are disputing this to each CRA.make sure you include everything as once a local gov't entity is involved the entry should either reflect that,or be deleted.go for deletion.
