debt assignment and reassignment. I live in NJ. Original creditor assigns debt to CA 1, then CA1 assigns debt to CA2 then CA2 assigns debt to CA3. Is this allowed and legal? If it is not legal and allowed what tipe of motion can you present to dismiss a case on these grounds?
Your original creditor can assign your debt account to a collect
Your original creditor can assign your debt account to a collection agency (CA) and the CA can sell it off to some other collection agency. I don't think there is anything illegal in it.
CA's dont assign debts to other collection agencies. The owner
