False or random claims by Northstar

I just got a phone message from Northstar Location Services. It was a debt collection request. The problem is that I have no overdue debt and have not been sent to collections by anyone. My credit rating is pushing 800 on all lists. They apparently just find someone with the name they are looking for and pester them. Ist his common practice? I've been getting these calls sometimes 3 or 4 times per day. I block the calls but they come up with a new 866 or 800 number within a day or so.
