Bank levy
Date: Mon, 11/17/2008 - 20:07
My bank account got wiped out by a court ordered levy. I wasn't notified at all. I just happened to check my balance and I was surprised to find not even zero but it was a negative amount due to nsf fees. I want to know if there is even at least a little chance of getting maybe half of what they took and just pay the amount I owe in increments? It was a credit card company that got a court order to levy my bank account.

They can't levy your account without suing and winning a judgement. Were you served a summons? If not, you should contact the court and file a motion to vacate the judgement due to defective service.
