Help! Judgment advice!!

AT & T wireless claims I owe them $1400....which I have no recollection of.
They sold my debt to "Palisades Collections"
They then got Pressler and Pressler to sue me for the debt. They won a default judgment because they had an incorrect address I never resided at.
I do not remember being served (But we are talking about 5 years ago). Regardless the judgment was won against me depite the wrong addy and the fact that they only used my middle name (leaving out my first)
When I called Palisades they sent me to Pressler when I called Pressler they said they no longer even had my file and now Aries Data Collections owns it.
I called Aries and they gave me the info.
Today I filed an order to show cause and put in an order for the records.
Do you think I will win the case? I basically said this is not me, my address or legal name. Prove I owe the debt. Do you think they will?
ALSO most importantly do you think they will show up in court even though they sold my debt and wont even get paid. Or did they just hire aries to nab me.
On a side note can you levy an out of state account if you have a judgment in NY.

Improper serving is one of the most prominent ground to get a default judgement vacated.
IMO you have a strong ground to get the judgement vacated. Follow the proper procedure and back your reason with documents.
