My mother called me today and said I had mail at her house??????I have not gotten mail at her house for 3+ years!!!Well I told her to open it and tell me what this was.It was a collection letter stating that they have a debt.NOW here is the kicker I have filed bankrupy (sorry cannot spell)on this debt and they know I have and has been discharged!!!!!!!They state I have 30 days to get papers from the courts or they are going to re-instate this old debt!!!!!I thought when your bankrupy is discharged thats it?????Bud

it is. its a way of them trying to get you to pay. if they were

it is. its a way of them trying to get you to pay. if they were listed on your bankruptcy then they have recieved notice from the court.if it shows on your credit report as a charge off after that date you can dispute it. this happened to my friend just recently a debtor tried to reage her account.

If you have a copy of the discharge, send them a copy that shows

If you have a copy of the discharge, send them a copy that shows that debt has been discharge and kindly ask them to "GO AWAY!"

What they are doing is extremely illegal!Give them one written notice that the debt has been discharged and if they continue,have attorney reopen your case to file contempt order for violating bankruptcy stay.You will want to go ahead and order your credit reports to see if they left any illegal rat poopoo on there also.
