You need to check and see when they first went delinquent..for example, there usually are two accounts, one from the original creditor, one from the collection agency..the OC listing should have the correct DoFD....use that as a guide.
You can contact each credit reporting agency and ask them directly when they are due to fall off, if any are listed to not fall off at the 7 year mark, then you know they have ben illegally re-aged.
What state are you in? Before you start poking at them with a stick (The DV letter) you want to make sure they won't try to sue you (or be able to do it legally at any rate).
You can send DV letters to each of them, and once you get the green card back, you dispute with the CRAs, that way if they verify...they have just violated and you have more bargaining power over them.

Thank you for the info. None of my DoFD are later than september 2002. I'm in California where I understand the SOL is four years. There are no judgments on my records, so I assume I can't be sued. It that correct?
So a credit agency can let me know when an item is scheduled to drop off? Can I do that online?
