Sued by debt collector

Debt collector is sueing me for debt that is past the statue of limitation. I was never given the opportunity to have the debt validated or disputed.
WELL
then you respond that way when you answer the summons,or in court.once you present that as your defense it will get thrown out.

Have you received a summons or are they just threatening? What type of debt?? What state do you live in?? When was the date of your first deliquency???
