Got a call today from a "beth abrams" and the company's name was OSS. She would not give me what the OSS stood for. She left a threatening message to have either have me or my attorney call back immediately. The number she gave me was 1-866-964-8194 X 702. I am so tired of getting harassing phone calls.

What do I do now?

Do nothing and ignore them. The most you can do is file a complaint with the federal trade commission, attorney general and other big offices. Sending a DV letter will do no good. If they break the law saying they will put people in jail they will not abide by the law to a DV letter or C&D letter.

I seen you went to 800 notes so you see the different names they use, I tried to call and got nothing. No one picked up and there was no message of the name of the company.

The best I can tell you is if they call to much, call the police and have them call back for you. If you know a cop they might be able to threaten them to stop it.

I called the number last night after work. Spoke to "Beth Abrams". She said I had 4 "bad checks" from 2006 and that she was hired to take care of them. I had to ask her if they were from payday loans and she said yes. She said they were from

Premire

She asked me if it was an oversight on my part of if I on purpose did not pay these back? She said that her client believes that I had no intention to pay them back. Shen then preceeded to tell me that I was in serious trouble for the bad checks from my old bank from 3 years ago. I told her just like I have told everyone before that if would send me something in writing I would be happy to send payment. After a few minutes of jumping around the subject she said I can fax or email you a "validation" form ( yeah right) but she needed to tell me that if she did send it to me there was no promise that her client would be willing to work with me. She wanted me to hold while she got them on the phone. I told her I wasn't waiting. She said well there isnt much I can do for you and I said do what you need to do and I said buh bye now and ended the conversation. I gave her my email address and my fax number that she could send her "paperwork". Nothing has shown up.

So, this morning I have "tom rogers" calling me. 574-312-7014.

I thought he was calling about all those "bad checks". I have no idea why I have 2 different people calling me now?

I did not pass any "bad checks"? I'm not sure how she came up with that?

Still I am SO fed up with the calls......

When they call I just ignore them but it's not doing any good...

Yeah the SOL is 6 years for credit cards and such and 10 years for contracts.

Still there is nothing they can do, ignore them. If your in Indiana and they are in Florida, right? That should tell you something. If an attorney from your state contacts you on this then they would have to send you a dunning letter giving you 30 days to dispute the debt and unless that happens, do not worry.
