calling me?

I paid my Walmart Card off in February! I have my Statment which said after I paid it off Account Balance $0.

Now collections calles me and say I owe still 63$ and ask me if and how I wanne pay this! I send them the Statement and a letter to stop bothering me! They call in 5 min intervalls every day even sundays when I maybe could still sleep for a change!

What should I do I know I owed them but this is over with. I still have other people calling me but this is not so much anymore since I started working with American credit foundation.
This really need to stop I am exhausted and burned out and short before another panic attack...

Thanks for your advice!

Have you tried calling the OC and seeing what's up?

I had Cap 1 do this to me after I paid them in full. I kept calling them several times a day, until I got someone that straightened it out.

I would send collections a DV letter also, asking them what the $68 bucks is for and another copy of the paid in full money order, or whatever you have. You can also tell them that not to contact you, except via mail.

Good Luck..KAren

The OC may not have gotten word to collections that it has been paid off yet

I didn't think so far  .
I just sendet them the Statement from Walmart and my Bank Statment with other things canceld out of course. Also a clear letter to stop calling me unless they proof what and how I owed it it still! Since i have the Statment attached showing a 0 balance!!!! And that I preefer mail corespondence. So that I have proof of all they say!

So you think I still should send a DV letter??

Thanks KAren for your help!

If Walmart sent it to collections, they are probably the ones who need to get it straightened out.

You can still send a DV, don't know if it will help or not,but probably won't hurt.

I wouldn't send anyone my bank statement, even if it's blacked out-just send them a copy of the check, or whatever you used to pay them off.

Keep after them, especially Walmart until it is right!!..Karen
