i sent a pay for delete letter to a collection company that has bought some debt off CHECK N GO.they called me and said they cant delete it after payment all they can do is mark it as paid and that is fraud to remove it.are they allowed to collect this money off me any way.cause i think check n go was made to leave pa.and what was this women talking about its fraud,i thought pay 4 deletes are legal.i dont know i just hung up on her,i said send what you are trying to say to me in a letter...

It is not fraud to remove an entry, but there are plenty of people who are not comfortable removing [accurate] negative remarks from a CR because it distorts the intention of the CR.
