I got this message on my answering machine from a private number and all that I could get out of the phone call was contact me (foreign speaking, very thick accent) and if you do not contact me I can only wish you good luck. He left no contact information and/or phone number and there is no way to call him back. I thought I had paid all of my payday loans back but the one I currently am paying off and have agreed to payment arrangments which I have kept.

Does anyone have any ideas on this one?

no # shows up on caller id?strange, but so many
pdl's and such are using bottom feeders to try
and collect it could be a whole bunch of places.
i have no clue, maybe someone else can help.

Apparently they don't want your money very badly if they don't want to give you any way to contact them. Just try not to worry about it until they can contact you, if/when they do don't loose your cool and just use common sense. If you have any further problems let us know and we will help you.

Unfortunately in our society companies do not always train their employees properly and as a consumer we pay the ultimate price. The price being confusion, poor treatment by those who cannot properly speak English, and frustration when someone leaves you what I feel was a rather cryptic message. Most of the time it is not the fault of the employee - it's very bad training by those who are in charge.

Scary isn't it?

I have also gotten phone calls from this person. The calls comes from Maryland, have blocked the numbers, they clam to be from US National Bank Criminal Crime Division.
They called me at work yesterday, and called his bluff, I think, used his trick, he told me he was recording my call, and hit button on my phone and said did you get that information he is threating me and hung up and filed a complaint with the FTC and AG in Maryland

The phone number wouldn't be 2036722113 by any chance, would it? Another number "Richard Hamilton" uses is
615-369-7410 and it is untraceable.also 615-369-0412,
615-369-0413, 615-369-0415

FROM 800 NOTES:
Comments about 2036722113 number:
got a call from a Richard Hamilton saying i owe for something i never did and to avoid settling it out of court would cost a lot less than in court. he refused to give his client's name or any other information. he said he was with financial crime prevention.

Got a call today from 203-672-2116, left a message and said he was Brad O'Brien from the Financial Crime Prevention in CT -

Names he uses:
Richard Hamilton, Brad O'Brien, Stewart King, Shawn Robinson, Stephan Williams, David Fleming, Sam Johnson, Daniel Fleming.

Need I say more? Your company should call the FBI. You should call an attorney and sue him.

I am not sure if these are the same people, but here is alink that may help you at http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/about32018.html

It is a link from 2007, but it talks about Crime division Us bank, etc.

Some of the calls appear to be for Route 66. Read the link and see if that is the same one you are dealing with.

Be sure and keep notes, record if it is legal in your state, etc.

Read links - never had a PDL with Route 66
Have no clue why they are calling they will not give you any information and are hard to understand.

OK the foreign guy called again, John Watson, 480-282-6893, I need to return this time sensitive call if I do not, he can only wish me "good luck". Who is this? Why is he calling. I have no outstanding pdl's that I know of. I have paid them all off or are working on the few that I did have.

Any information is appreciated.

This guy has called again and left a 220 number that I could not get what he said, his accent is so horrible it is hard to understand him. He does not leave a 800 number just a regular phone number and he states if I do NOT call him, he can only wish me good luck. Has anyone gotten ahold of this man? It is still John Watson but that is the only information I can obtain. I am starting to be scared. I don't want any trouble but truly I do not have anything out there that I am not taking care of that I can remember.

If he truly has a case, they will just send me paperwork to pay, have never received anything via mail.

Any information is appreciated.

Dr. Watson also uses the name James Maxwell, who was a 19th Century physicist. He claims to be with the Financial Claim (or Crime?) Division of US National Bank, but are incredibly unprofessional and threatening. I think they are scam artists. If you try to call them back, you get a recording saying it is not a valid extension.

I just ignore those foreign callers. If you want to talk to me, do it inside America.

There have been times before I learned how to fix my own computer, had to call Dell. Some of those Indian people cannot speak English well at all, and I get frustrated, and they get mad too because I keep asking "would you repeat that? I cannot understand"

I am so glad I don't have to call those foreign people anymore. Outsourcing stinks.

I got a call from a guy with a heavy foreign accent, who said he was a police officer. He stated I owed money from a payday loan which I never applied for, and then started to say my social and bank account info. I immeadiately hung up the phone and called my bank to cancel my account and start up a new one. This same guy called back 3 more times untill I told him I work for the police department, and I wanted his name, badge number, and the department he worked for. No phone call since.

The people that are getting a call from this man is a scam. He has gotten your information from a payday loan that you may have got in the past and he wants you to think that you owe him money but you don't. He has called me, my fiance on his job and my mother! I have called the BBB and local law enforcement. Whatever you do, do not pay this person any money. It is obvious that they have some success at this because that are making a point to do this on a daily basis hoping that they will eventually get money from you. Don't do it! They will keep right on calling you trying to get more and more.
