Hi everyone,
Still battling to be free. SJM was denied their
first payment of my hard earned money on 2-29-08.
They sent me an email on 3-5-08 saying that I was
sent to AIS Services 888-920-1300, Thank you ICollect.
Whatever happened to me having time to admit or not
admit if it is my debt. I am in Michigan, and I paid
$180 on a $300 loan. Please advise me what would be
my next step? I am ready to fight, fight, fight!

My experience with them was that the loan was already paid in full (overpaid actually). So I had to go around and around with their "legal manager" (ho hum) and have nice email wars going on for a bit. However, it all was straightened out. Of course, I filed complaints against them with the BBB and my state AG, who contacted them. That might have hurried them along a bit. It was marked closed and they even emailed me a "screen shot" of my account in their system stating removed/closed. They did respond to the BBB and my state AG. They didn't try to run. It probably took about 3 weeks to get it taken care of totally. It pissed me off, but it was kind of painless.
