Creditor wants money NOW!

OK! The collection agency wants the money NOW! I stated I would like to make payment arrangements but I was told they could not do that. I send them what I could afford. I received a letter from them. It states they got my $60.00 but what the remained by 8/20/07. What should I do?

Did you validate the debt with them? If NO,then first do that. You should be cent percent sure that they have been authorized by the OC to collect or the OC has sold the debt to them.
