We have like 5 payday loans out and haven't fallen behind but this week won't be able to pay to extend or pay off on any of them. I don't want to get in more trouble with a scam payday loan consolidation company. Are their real ones that actually help? OR should I just close my account, and try to just take in a little at a time to all the different places I owe.

Any help would be so apprieciated.

a few things that would help anyone to be able to answer your questions:
1. what type of payday loans do you have? Are they internet or storefront?
2. where do you live?
3. which companies do you owe?
4. how much were the original loans for and how much have you paid on them?

This will help the folks here to help you help yourself.

Ok I talked to my husband and he said we have 4 loans out through 3 companies

Storefront

Live in Utah

We owe:

Checkpoint - $750
Check N Go - $350
EZ Loans - $450

All three only let us extend loans for a few weeks then we have to pay them off. Then we end up having to take them right back out to extend or pay off another one. It is to the point now where we won't be able to afford to extend them pay them off or pay our current bills. I am scared they are going to take money out of our bank account then we will be so overdraft we will never be free of this:(

Your payday loan laws are at the link below:
paydayloaninfo.org/stateinfo/UT.asp

Two of your payday lenders are listed as members of the CFSA ( Community Financial Services Association of America), the other one may be a member as well, but you will need to call and ask them.
See the link below:
http://www.cfsa.net/MemberList.aspx

This is good news because it means you are eligible for an extended payment plan, but they won't tell you about it, you have to ask for it, see the link below to read about it:

I will ask the 3rd one if they are but I doubt it he is a pawn shop/payday loan place.

I am starting to read about the epp and it sounds like I can jus go in and ask for it and then i would have 4 payments to pay it off in full?

that is correct, but speak with the manager not an employee.the manager is the only one who can do this, but you must go in before your due date.

well, the best practices states the EPP be four equal payments, and the amount is frozen.meaning they can't charge interest.two pdl's.i would consult your husband on this.maybe do the EPP on the greater of the two.then when you have one payment left.invoke the EPP on the other.a pain, but might be a way to handle it.

no i think it's at least every other week.if not once a month.the manager should be able to work with you on that though.
