I had a collection agency send me validation of a debt, they now state that they will only wait 10 days for payment. How long after validation do you have to respond to the debt?

Th validation that they sent did not include my payment history with the old collection agency or include any licensing information on the new CA.

The CA should send you copies of
Documents that prove you are the correct party whom they are asking to pay the debt
Agreement that proves that they have the authority to collect on this alleged debt
Agreement that bears yours signature wherein you agreed to pay the original creditor
Any insurance claims that have been made by any creditor related to this account
Judgments been obtained by any creditor regarding this account
Proof that they are licensed to collect in your state
Proof that the SOL has not expired

If they are not sending you the above mentioned documents then its not validation.

Take care
Nelly
