Is anyone familiar with this particular company?
I got a cell phone call yesterday, 12/27, from them, asking for someone who
no longer has this phone number. I've had it for the last 2 1/2 years.

They stated that if this was NOT the person they wanted, hang up.
Kind of hard, when they're talking to voice mail, and I'm sound asleep!
Besides, my VM states MY name, when message(s) left.

So, after that brief comment, they proceeded to leave debt collection information for
the individual they seek, apparently NOT knowing they were talking to Voice Mail.
Not the first time either. Had at least one other, from a different person/company, that I could NOT understand.

So, after a quick number search, I was able to get a website! And contacted them, regarding an illegal? phone call, and why I thought it was an illegal call. I stated that if I were called again, I'd be in contact with the Colorado AG, their AG and the FTC, should it be necessary. Don't want to, but will IF I feel it a necessity.

Later the same day, I got a very short, polite reply, asking for my phone number, so
it could be removed from their phone system. I sent my number only back. This AM, I got another reply back, from Sean, the individual I had be communicating with.

He stated that this Email confirms the he personally deleted my number from their system. And again, apologized for the inconvenience caused.

I'm rather surprised, that it was taken care of very quickly, and in a very short, polite manner. Compared to the rude, obnoxious ways that others may have done.

Now, I guess I'll see what happens down the road.
Just my 2 pennies on the matter. Take it for what it's worth, which ain't much! :)

Well,
I thanked them for the immediate attention given to the situation.
Also asked WHY said message, stating to hang up if this isn't XXXX.
This is what I recieved back this AM:

The dialer software is programmed to only leave that message with a live
person. Your answering machine/voicemail picked up, and for some
reason, the software perceived it to be a live person picking up the
phone. In that case, you could have hung-up or pressed 9 to be
transferred to a representative. That message makes no sense when left
on a machine, and it definitely should not have happened.

I am actually forwarding this situation to IT to inform them of the
error immediately. Thank you again for your correspondence.
Looks like they want to prevent something like this from happening again!
Once again, I'm surprised at how quickly they've acted on the situation, and
the steps being taken to correct a potential problem.
More if I hear anything more.
