Recently, I've had the displeasure of dealing with Pentagroup Financial over an old Capital One debt. Even after I sent a VC letter in to these guys with a request that they don't call they've -- off-and-on -- insisted on calling me, but of course they don't leave a message, nor are they readily willing to identify themselves.
Yet, a while back I was informed they had "closed my account" after I hit them with a C&D over the phone calls.
Fast forward to this morning where I'm getting another call from the same Houston area code. I did a google and bing search on the number, and while various websites seem to confirm that this is a debt collector none were able to identify who called. So, I called the number, and our little game began where I was accused of being belligerent for asking who was calling and calling back repeatedly as the guy kept hanging up on me without answering this question. Eventually, he just moved me onto permanent hold or something.
Basically, I just want to find out who this is so I can respond with either a DV letter or a C&D letter if it's Pentagroup. If anyone can help, I'd be much obliged.
The number: 281-220-1163

To answer your question, I firmly believe it is now SourceRM. They have a habit of doing this. They have called us and we finally got them to ID themselves on the same topic you address. Phone 866-938-8060 3859-303 Battleground ave Greensboro NC 27410
Principal is Lisa Weiller. The BBB says they have 3 employees.. Go to bbb.org/greenboro and look them up.

It does seem odd they'd be using a Houston number, though, particularly given that I recently dealt with Pentagroup from the same area code.
