Can you change your phone# to a GOphone# before entering Debt Program?

I want to avoid the 4 calls a day prior to starting. I am current on my bills now so they are not calling. But they soon will be.
Any thoughts?

If you are doing Debt Management, they shouldn't be calling you, it would be in Debt Settlement where they would repeatedly call you because in that program you stop paying your bills in order to save up for a settlement.

I just changed my phone number to a non published private number, of course now they are blowing up my mailbox but that is better than hearing the damn phone ring all the time. I too am in a dmp and they state that after a couple of months the calls should stop.

Thanks Chrys. Settlement actually so I do expect calls. I haven't actually started. I am waiting to talk to someone who has experience this first hand and seen progress. Still looking for a response.
I think now is as good a time as any. This is a great forum.
