It is true that you bank statement is a form of receipt. However, you can full right to get a contract where the terms and conditions of the payment plan is written. Tell them that you won't pay a single penny without getting a contract or some sort of document. You should have asked for it much earlier.

Collection agencies are under no obligation to send you a payment arrangement letter, particularly so you can get additional credit. In fact with most of the collection agencies it is set policy. It would imply that you are in satisfactory repayment and historically these types of letters have been abused. There is nothing in contract or conditions and refusing to pay them now would put you in a worse condition since you have reset the SOL clock.

That doesn't seem 'right' that they can refuse documentation to you. You would have no proof of what you are saying. I would want to know where I 'stand' in payents..ya know?..that sort of thing.

soaplady is right here. theyre arent going to send it to you for one simple reason - if you made the arrangements to get a letter to send as proof that you are making payments in order to secure a loan, what reason do they have to think that you will actually pay once you get the letter?

When you default, your loan or credit card balance is accelerated...you owe it in full. You are paying a collection account...they can change or cancel the payment arrangement at any time without notice.
