Portfolio Recovery

Portfolio Recovery called me regarding an old cc bill. When I talked to them the only thing I said (over and over) was to send me a debt validation letter. I told them this on 2 different occassions. Of course they never sent me anything at all and now on my credit report it says "account iformation disputed by consmer (meets equirement of the Fair Credit reporting Act)". What does this mean?

I'm dealing with them now they haven't sent valadation they only sent a billing statement. I have requested validation twice and now they have turned it over to a lawyer, I have sent the lawyer a validation letter. waiting on a response.
