I wrote a debt validation to my collection (Portfolio Recovery Associates) and they replied with "An Affidavit of Sale" Where do I go from here I have attach a letter that I sent and the letter they have sent back it seems as if they did not reply to my request. And the interesting thing is that the first letter they sent me it stated that I owe $5,277.92 and their Validation letter response stated that I owe $6,638.47. I live in California

Any suggestions? I have until July 1st to reply :(

Thanks in advance

Since they have send you an "An Affidavit of Sale", I think that they have validated your debt. However, I do feel that you should also ask them for a statement of your payment history. It will reflect a break-up of your debt including your late fees and other charges.
You can negotiate with them for a payment plan and pay off the debt.

you need a receipt of sale that shows who they bought the dent from.re-send the original letter with a revision stating that to you this is not sufficient.
