macy's 1000.00
Premier Bank Card 500.00
Credit one 600.00

Welcome to the Community Shonda :D Have these debts been sold to the collection agencies, or are they collecting for the original creditor?

If they are still with the oc, try to call them, and work something out . Alot of the cc places have a hardship program where they will drop or lower the interest so you can get caught up.

A friend of mine jsut recently did this, she will be going on 120 days and they set her up. I told her to keep calling them until she got someone who would work with her.

If these are with the CAs', as being sold, can you tell us who the agencies are? We may can give you some tips and direction on where to go from there..Good Luck..karen

Welcome Shonda! Yes, most original creditors will give you a hardship program where they will lower the interest rate, waive the late fees, and lower your minimum monthly payment amount. Most of them will lower the minimum monthly payment amount to 1% or the outstanding balance. The programs are only temporary, but it might give you a chance to get things turned around. Good luck!

One for certain I would pay off is the Credit One Bank card ASAP. They are owned by Sherman Financial Group AKA Resurgent Capital Services AKA LVNV Funidng. Nothing will stop Credit One from passing it over to LVNV Funding who is also at the same address 625 pilot road in Las Vegas. It is just my opinion. It will be less headaches for you.

bossy
how old is your son and if he is on disability ..did his caretaker get him into debt? or was this due to his disability? most states still protect the disabled and do not let them get into debt with other entities from what I have experienced..that sucks that you sent what he could afford instead of what most states in America would have stepped up to the plate and paid for! do you still have outstanding bills? I think an attorney could definitely get those taken care of for you if they are actually your son's debts :D
also..have you ever received compensation from anyone for your son's disabilities? That will be the big issue here I think
