Bumping this up as I mistakenly put it in an old thread.
I am dealing with these clowns right now. My Sprint bill was assigned to a collector (Allied Interstate). I had reported my phone stolen to Sprint and then I get this bill in the mail for $360! Then the notice from Allied says I owe $576. So I send them debt validation letter (RR). I get back the card, but no info. About a month later I receive notice from Progressive Management that THEY are collecting for Sprint. So I sent them a debt validation letter (RR) and tell them I sent validation request to Allied and since this debt is disputed I don't understand why they have it. Get the receipt but no info. They call my house several times and then on 3/2 I receive a nasty call from them on my cell phone (I kept the record of the call) but they wouldn't talk with me because I wouldn't give them my SS# over the phone to verify that I am me. I haven't received validation from them.
So what's my next step???

If Progressive Management has continued with the collection acti
If Progressive Management has continued with the collection activities without validating the debt , then I think you have a good reason to take them to the small claims court.
