Hello!
I have been receiving calls on my cell from an unknown number. They have left threatening messages saying I have charges pending in my county for check fraud.
I have not returned these. So last week ignore the numerous calls to my work phone. They then proceed to call my school office and tell them they are serving me a summons they need the protocol for doing it. The office manager comes and gets me and says they want to talk to me. So I go in and talj with this rude lady who says they are serving me a summons to appear in court to answer to check fraud.
I asked who is this and she says Progressive Financial. I asked who the alleged debt is to and she said she thinks EZcash payday. She said I alreadyt know and I am a thief. I asked for a written notice of the debt and she sdaid I already got it and they don't do that. So she caled again and spoke to the principal of my school and they told her what I allegedly am guilty of doing. The principal came to me and gave me the information and asked that I take care of this.
What should I do?
I live in Indiana.

we've told you many many times before what to do. You keep on letting these people get to you and you are embarrassing yourself at work because of it. Just tell the person who calls these words "You are a scamming piece of shit... don't call me again because you aren't getting any money out of me. You're wasting my time and yours" -- you can tell your principal that your sister/brother/cousin/uncle/parrot took out some kind of loan and put you on as a reference and now they're calling you. Say something like "they call my home nonstop, .surprised they aren't doing it here" --- put the blame on some phantom and move on with your life.
