Does anyone have experience with them about negotiating a settlement? What % did they agree to? Was it hard to get them to do? I want to make them an offer of a one time cash settlement? are they likely to do it?

It's my debt for sure & I verified the amount with Discover. I hadn't made a payment or made contact with them since August of 2008. I called Protocol yesterday. My original amount owed was About $1850 and Protocol offered to settle it for $1650 and I made a counter offer. They agreed to settle in full for $1100. Should I have offered less?
Well, any way they sent my settlement in full agreement & I'm overnighting their money today.
