I have been served a summons and have 30 days to answer. The Daniel N. Gordon PC claim is a Home Depot account. the summons state I owe $2700.00 I do not owe them any money. The summons was dated March 16 2012 but was served on May 24 2012 they did not provide any documentation or any thing else. This summons was not an original but a photo copy. I don't know what to do I am on SS disability fix income. can they garnish S.S. disability ? can they put a lien on my home. Is this real what can I do? what should I do with the summons? Write them back explaining my situation? Please help me ASAP

Is this your debt or not?? If you do not owe it, dispute it. Show proof that the debt is not yours!!!

If you do not owe this but do not fight it properly, they will put a lein on your home. However they cannot touch your SSDI.
