I need HELP...please.
Date: Sat, 09/08/2007 - 14:57
There were 2 adverse accounts.
One is, Chase Auto Finance.
When I called to Chase Auto Finance on end of June, they told me "Sentry" is caring my account. So, I sent a DV letter on end of June with certified mail, but they didn't send back anything.
I called to Chase Auto Finance again today, they told me "Mercantile Adjustment Bureau" is caring my account now.
the other one is, NCO Financial.
I also called to NCO Financial on end of July, They told me "TrueLogic" is caring my account. I sent a DV letter, and I didn't get anything, either.
I called to NCO Financial today, they said my account came back NCO Financial again.
What should I do next?
Do I have to send DV letters to Mercantile Adjustment Bureau & NCO Financial?
I also need their address. (I didn't get any letter from them yet. I got a lot of calls from Mercantile Adjustment Bureau.)
------------------------
It(above) was my question on August.
I sent DV letters on August, 9, and they(Mercantile Adjustment Bureau and NCO Financial) got the letter on August, 13.
BUT I DIDN'T GET ANY LETTER FROM THEM.
What Do I have to do next?
Please, help~

I would wait a bit longer. In most cases, they have 30 days from the receipt of the letter to respond.
What state are you in? Find out your state laws. If you are in Texas, if they do not respond in 30 days, and they fail to remove the account(s) from your credit report, you can take actions against them, and report them through the Texas Attorney General.
debt
I have heard of NCO Financial, but, not the other ones. I thought, if a certain CA has your account, they can't 'flip-flop' around and give it to OTHER CA's. And...especially your account, going back to the originally one it started with? ( please correct me, if I misunderstood the post). How crazy!! Also...another question. If NOBODY responds, to the letters, can the account be taken off? CAN it be disputed? Wouldn't you have to have proof, that the account was PIF, before it gets removed ( providing the SOL is not up?)

yes, I will wait more, but I want to know what I have to do next when they fail to sent a DV letter.

They can flip flop the account. In fact some collection agencies immediatly sell the debt off when they recieve a C&D or a validation letter they can't validate. It completely sucks but when you take them to court they are going to say, well we don't have that anymore. We sent it back to the creditor or it was sold off. They may get a slap on the wrist but now you are dealing with another collection agency.
Some collection agencies collect for other collection agencies. Sentry collections for other agencies and I know that NCO does outsource some of their accounts to other agencies. You should find out who owns it and send a validation letter to them.
