Help With Xerox Collection

I received a call from an unknown number. It was a woman saying she worked for a location service and had papers to serve me. She said that first the company wanted to work out a settlement and that I should call 888-261-2975. That should be in touch with the company and afterwards they could fax her a release. When I asked what the company was, she said she spilled coffee on her papers and couldn't read the name. Anyway, I searched the number and found very little about it other than it was called Xerox Management. I usually check forums about 800 numbers, and the only things there were how some people called and worked something out that the people were very nice. Not sure if they were legit or spy posts. I have never heard of Xerox, so my guess is it is related to some sort of PDL thing since I know which CA is handling my bank overdraft and Bally's debt. How should I proceed? Does anyone know anything about Xerox? Is there any chance this is legit?

not a chance as process servers or locators as this witch claims calls ahead.a scam,and with it being end of the month not only are they getting busy with the illegal calls,but like on this forum jamokes will trumpet the illegal to increase the chances of getting $$$$ when they are entitled to it.file a police report for the initial call.then ignore them and hope one of the lopes gets fired for not making their blood money quota.
