Qwest bill

we just moved to North carolina and we got a bill from a collection company saying we owe Qwest money , this bill is 5 years old I'm not even sure we owe this and I asked her if the
statue of limitation was up . She said no there isn't a statue of limitation. This hasn't ever showed up on are credit or anything
I asked why they haven't notified us before, she said it had been placed with two other collection agencies and gave me
a bogus address where the bills were going.

I would send them a DV letter before sending them any money. Make them prove to you that you owe it and then check out your state's statute of limitations (SOL). SOL's apply to all debt! SHE WAS LYING TO YOU!
