I have been talking with them about my debt. I am waiting for a settlement to come in, and have told them this for a few weeks. I had posted a check with them, and asked them, well if the check does not come in can i cancel the payment. They said yes no problem. Guess what? I had to call and tell them I did not get the payment. They were like, you have been telling us this for a few weeks. Not my fault,I have no control when it will come. I contacted my bank and told them that they were told to cancel the payment.
They then told me i was lying about getting any money. the debt is from Beneficial, amount is $7000 but beneficial agreed to $3662 for settlement.
I refuse to deal with RAB after being called a liar.
Do you think I should contact beneficial and tell them what happened and i will not deal with RAB anymore. Then this past week, we had 6 in. of water in our house. Knowing RAB, they would probably say i am lying again.
Do you think I should just deal with Beneficial directly, even though they sent my file to RAB. I was never late paying, then we had family medical issues come up and then everything got behind.
Very disgusted with RAB.
thanks.

I do understand that people do lie, however what about them not cancelling the payment i had given them. They told me i could call and cancel it or change the date with no problem.
They refused to do it, then they send me a letter stating that it did not clear and they want to know why.
They knew why. I could also have them call the attorney that is handling the settlement we are waiting for in the UK.
I am so disgusted with RAB. As stated in earlier post, after taking care of family members, our mothers, etc., we got behind on everything. We are trying to save our home. The money we are receiving, will take care of all of our debts.
thanks for listening. Do you think i should file a complaint about them not stopping the payment or changing the date, as they said it would be no problem and did not do it. so i was charged a overdraft fee?

If you owe a debt pay the debt plain snd simple. How would you feel loaning money out to some who said they'd pay you back andnever did and
is more than 6 months down the road your balalnce gets that high with intrest and late fees, wehave the righ to call you, your job, your ref, poss numbers to get ahold you because you owe a debt. All of our calls are monitired and recorded. if you do set up checks on file and you pull a check for that month you must make other arrangements even if its s,aller otherwise your BALANCE IN FULL BECOMES DUE. Its your choice. You play nice we play nice

for one you don't have the right to call anybody else regarding the debt.only to get contact info.if a person submits a C&D regarding calls at work, then BAM!you can't call there either.sorry but RAB is a bottomfeeder.don't care if a place hires you or not.the way you collect is a crime.

They are very rude to people, I understand that they have a job to do. I work for a collection agency and we do not speak to our callers no where near the way they do. It's like they were raised to not respect anyone. They talk to people like they are above them and that they have never went through any situations where they have needed help paying a bill. I know they get paid a small hourly wage for what they do but that is no reason to speak to other human beings the way they do. They need to train the employees at RAB some soft skills.

honestly, i know dealing with a debt collectors isn't everyones favorite thing to do. heres what you can do...
1. call in and ask for a shift manager. don't talk to collector you need to go higher. normally it takes depends on the client a week to figure out whats going on.
2.you have to deal with RAB. when your acct is transfered to a collection agency the client no longer has the acct with them.
3.if you can't make the payment for a settlement at once you may be able to split it into payments. or make arrangements on the acct for payment until you have gotten the acct low enough to settle. you dont have to take a settlement just because it was offered or thats what you agreed. a settlement can be offered even if you have payments on file.
hope those 3 steps help you.

i will address your stupidity one point at a time.

1)the shift managers at bottomfeeders like this are bigger humanoids than the idiots calling in the first place.

2)if the person has to deal with RAB only.that means they bought the debt, and are subject to the FDCPA.

3)i never advise agreeing to anything without explicit details in writing first.this place never does that, and never will.
hope this helps bust your bubble humanoid.
