If you feel that you've been scammed by Regent Asset Management,
If you feel that you've been scammed by Regent Asset Management, then you and your husband can take legal actions against them. In order to take legal actions against them, you need to contact an attorney. A large number of people have complained against them in the forum on a time to time basis. Check out what people have said against them from:

Regent Asset Mgmt. seems like a scam...
I am now going through a similar situation with Regent Asset Management. Just over a year ago I paid them 5x what I originally owed on a debt with US Bank to simply get them off my back, put an end to the harassing phone calls, and finally settle the debt. I paid them over the course of 3 months, but when I asked for something in writing stating that the debt had been paid off, they refused. That should have come as a red flag to me, but anyhow....
So now a year later, I get a letter from a DIFFERENT collection agency for the same debt on the same account. I tried desperately and to no avail to contact Regent Asset Management to obtain some type of verification that this debt was settled, but it appears that they have gone out of business.
Now I am stuck with the same debt through a different collection agency, and the only way they would be willing to release the debt is if I were to obtain a letter from Regent stating that the debt was paid, BUT THEY NO LONGER EXIST! I have received little to no help from US Bank since, as it was explained to me, once the debt with the bank is sold off to a CA, they also release any legal obligation that goes along with that account and can provide me no data.
I feel stuck. Part of me wants to just pay the second CA to get them off my back again, but I am so angry about the issue that I don't want to pay. However, if I don't settle the debt it will go on my credit report in 30 days. I think my last ditch effort is going to have to be speaking with an attorney to help sort things out. I am at a complete loss.. anyone else have any other similar issues with Regent?
