Today I received a rather abrasive letter in the mail from Apelles. I know I owe a bank some money and I figured I would pay the debt. It listed a link to pay the debt, but it isn't a working link. I typed it in verbatim how it is written on the letter. I do not wish to call them as I see that many people are having issues with them. I guess I will call the bank itself and deal with it that way. I was just wondering if that is the right thing to do.

You can contact the bank as well as check your credit report to see if the account has been charged off and sold to a collector. You can also send a debt validation letter to the collector as well.
