Hi all!
I just received a garnishment letter from my job from LVNV Funding! I'm not sure what it's even for...maybe a credit card, but not sure and I have called a few attorneys in the area and have not been able to find one that will help. What should I do? Is there any way to fight this? I'm not sure what creditor this is from or why it's so much. I want to call and ask, but I don't want to say the wrong the thing? Is there a way to get a settlement so I don't get a garnishment, or is it too late? I need help to find out what this is for and how to resolve outside of my job and for less.
Thanks to any advice!

A judgement alone does not usually include specific terms that permit the prevailing plaintiff to take specific legal action to secure execution of that judgment, such as garnishing wages or seizing property. They would most likley have gone back to the court and asked for a court order to execute their judgment.
Do you have a copy of the judgment entered by the court? Did it sanction any garnishment or seizure of assets or property? If not, has the prevailing plaintiff gone back to the court and secured such a writ for execution of the judgment? What authority did the letter to your employer provide for the legal attachment of your wages?

I would hussle my buns over to the courthouse and view the complete record of the proceedings in your case. They are available at the Office of the Clerk of the Court.
