I received a letter from Convergent Outsourcing, stating i owe LVNV Funding (creditor) Direct Merchant (original creditor) $4,403.12. The issue here is I OWE NO ONE ON THE LETTER ANYTHING. I was so upset i pulled my credit last night and there is nothing listed anywhere for them. they are saying i can pay them 660. in 35 days and they will go away. I need some direction in how to procced since they are not a true debt. Do I send a DV, or a Cease & Desist? do i report them to the FTC, BBB and so on? Any suggestions would be great

Thank you very much for the advise, I did the complaint to the FTC, will follow with the others, I wonder how many people fall for it and pay the settlement they ask for.
