I was recently with Hess Kennedy and Now they have gone under. I have got notice by a receivership of Daniel Stermer. I don't have any idea what this means. I filed the claim asked to get my monies back (I guess but I'm all new to this)

You can go to lbfmiami website and search there active cases and click on Hess Kennedy

Hess Kennedy Receivership:
Receivership means that the company has filed for BK and the court has placed a person in charge of the company to protect what assets exist and to sell the assets of the company to repay the debtors.

Not to be negative but don't expect to get alot if any money back.

I would take as much as half of it. I Pumped in over $9k into them. I can say they did settle my chase card. I'm owed over 5K. I sent in all info to the receivership. Signed contracts with them,Bank Statements, I have everything that shows what they took from me.

So I went to the website and they are updating info consitantly which is nice. I see that they reached a settlement for Capital one customer and It looks like they might have a settlement with HSBC customers. Hope they can do something with Washington Mutual. That would be great.

I sent in my forms with what I thought was owed to me but I received a letter from the receivership stating that what I say is owed to me is different from what they see. I'm on a list for a 5 min phone call some time in August 09. I think it's safe to say that we will probably never receive our money back!!!

Guest,

They sent me back the form. Mine was virtually dead on. I think I will get something back. I added up everything that I paid them and it was correct.

I agreed to there terms and sent in my form. According to the website I accepted and just have to wait to see what they determine.

Just get together all your proofs of payment so you can dispute it. All they have to go on is the internal files of H/K so if the files were inaccurate then the receivership would be wrong. You will need your documentation. If you don't have it offhand, you can request that from your payment source to H/K.
