Hey, I have a quick question - I received a phone call from 1-866-489-0979 and a voicemail from them as well. I called back to see who it was and a recorded voice said “you have reached 866-489-0979” than a person answered "Hello, how can I help you?” I hung up because I was scared it was someone I sent a DV/C & D letter to and didn’t want to make a mistake by speaking to someone on the phone. I did a search here and have no idea who it could be - I have three outstanding credit cards, but those collectors are Arrowhead, Nelson Watson & ER Solutions - I sent DV, C & D letters to all. I had payday loans and have two outstanding left but I don’t think this concerns that - nobody from collections has ever called from them? How do I handle this? Do I call them - what should I say? Do I send a C & D, DV concerning the automated voicemail they left? I kind of blow it with debt collectors and don't want to call.. someone please help..

it is for smith haynes & watson.again, you
sent a validation request.they are not allowed
to do this.did you file AG and FTC complaints?
if not do it right away.i thought you were
getting called from nelson watson.smith haynes
&watson are illegal.do not stand by any longer.
take action NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey, paul - thanks. sorry again for the confusion - I am getting calls from Nelson, Watson - than these people called me, too. i just got one call from them today (first time I ever even heard of them) I researched them a bit and I think they're for Geneva Roth (I had a payday loan with them) I filed complaints for ER and Nelson Watson but will def. file for these people, too. I didn't speak to them so am not sure what account is for but was real thrown off how they won't even announce themselves. I am going to look to find an address now.

I've been getting phone calls from these people. They leave messages threatening that they will attach my pay if I don't call them back. Can they do that? What happened with your situation?

Where are these guys actually located and can they take someone to court that is not within their state ? How does that work ?? Is this actually a law firm or just a company that states their name and claims they are a law firm ??
