What happens when an illegal PDL company turns the loan over to a collection agency? How do I respond to that? I sent the letter to the loan company in Feb. 2009 letting them know I was not going to pay them anymore than I already had. I closed my bank account and everything. Other than some crazy phone calls, I never heard from them. I even gave them my work fax # and told them to fax the legal documents proving I owed them something and I would show that to my attorney and would respond accordingly. I never heard from them... but collection agencies, I understand are different. How do I respond?

I STILL have CA's, that were collecting on PDL debts, on my CR. I believe PDL's are illegal in the state of PA. Yes...we ALL get into that 'money strain', and we do what we have to do, at the time. However, thank goodness, I don't deal with PDL's anymore. How do I get the CA's off my CR? Any advice would be helpful..thanks.

Let me explain, when you borrow $400.00 and you pay the PDL $1500.00 dollars back, (yes one thousand five hundred) and they say all of that was mearly interest on the loan and you still owe them $1500.00 that is wrong. I more than paid them back. According to the laws in my state (since the PDL company has no license to operate in my state) the PDL actually owes me money--I never tried to get them to pay me back--I just want them to leave me alone.
