Update: I see that the attorney for the plaintiff has filed the suit with the court on the Judicial Branch website. I didn't see that I filed my appearance and answer to the complaint. I called the court house and asked if they received my paperwork. The clerk answered "no" so I asked her what should I do. She said fax it to her. I told her I had no access to a fax machine. I then asked can I mail it. She would not answer me. I then said I understand you are not allowed to advise me but this is a pretty basic question. She then told me to look up the court rules. Okay.

I looked up the rules of the court to see if I can mail my appearance and answer to the clerk for filing. I cannot find the answer. So my question is. Does anyone know if you can file your answer to a complaint by US Mail return reciept req. in the State of CT?

Please help, my return date is the 14th of Sept. I would drive to the courthouse but don't have transportation at this time. My car is being repaired. HELP!!!
