I am in Florida and recently reviewed my credit report and noticed a couple of entries made by a CA on accounts charged off since 1999 and 2001? There are also a couple of entries from a CA on medical bills from 1999 also.
Can I dispute them or are they allowed to put them on my credit report even though the SOL has expired?
Are medical bills different from credit card bills?

The same 7 year reporting period applies. It appears that they have illegally reinserted the items well after the reporting period should have expired. I would suggest disputing the items with the credit reporting agencies and seeking legal council to explore the possibility of a civil suit. You should also file complaints with your state attorney generals office as well as the Federal Trade Commission.

The seven year reporting period granted by the FCRA is different from the SOL. Forgoing certain exclusions items can be reported to a persons credit report for 7 years only. In the case of collection agencies they are linked to the original creditor. Once the original creditor's entry is deleted the collection agency has to follow as they follow the same reporting period.
