Richard J. Boudreau & Associates llc
Just received a letter from Richard J Boudreau and Associates llc re: being retained by LVNV Funding which evidently bought my debt from Chase Manhattan Bank. Naturally, they want a settlement etc. Looked them up on line and it appears that they are not a reputable company. also if I am thinking correctly, I do not have to deal with them since they are not the original creditor. Is this correct? should I send them a cease and de___ letter. They called at work today and left their name for me to call also and have called 3 times at home.

I work for a government Child Support Agency and Support Kids and Richard Boudreau & Associates are a scam! I've seen Support Kids forge dates on consent forms AFTER the custodial parent withdrew their services! I've also seen them try to collect for a custodial parent 9 months after they passed away! I've also witnessed the copying of a court ordered garnishment document and replacing their name on it! Child Support Agencies collect your support basically for free or a small fee. Support Kids takes at least 30% of everything, even when the Child Support Agency is doing all the work!! They are only supposed to take their percentage on the arrears they collect, but they will take it from the current support order as well. Stay away from them! They collect by using "traditional" collection techniques........harrassment. Your local Agency can take them to court!

I'm waiting for 3 checks that were issued in mid July from the state of Nevada. I can't get Boudreau to answer a single question. I wish there was something I could do to get my case taken away from them. I didn't sign up with them, and Support Kids shouldn't have been legally allowed to give this company all of our child support information.

This company took over without my permission my case I had with SupportKids.com. I would not recommend SupportKids.Com since after they collected their $600.00 they sold my contract to a fake company. My daughters childsupport is being stolen by Richard J B. How do I get them to discontinue childsupport fraud.

I was contacted by Northland group and made an agreement to pay 200/month - because they stated they were liasons for Citibank [my debtor] I sent payments for about 5 months. Then i discovered that every month they sent negative info. every month to the credit bureaus . So i stopped payment realizing they were not legit.

Now i have had calls from Boudreau and associates, i will not answer any calls . But they have contacted my family for locating information.

What can i do??

Supposebly, they are representing a company that I owe. I do not know this company and yet they persist in calling me. I would like to see some original paperwork before a payment of any kind is made. I have spoken to a lawyer and I can request such information. Please mail mail original paper work to the original company that I owe with the interest attached, to . The funds will not be available on the 31st as originally stated. i would like to see the original paperwork first. Thank you.

ANONYMOUS!
These people ar a joke!! I contated SupportKids trying to obtain some current info onmy case. To my surprise I was made aware (via email) that the arrears are now being handkle by Richard Boudreaux & Asocaiates. I emailed the RBA and it took them a whole two months to respond. To my amazement they were holding a paymetn recieved back in July 2009 and it is now February 2010. I provided the CSR my correct mailing address and was told I would be recieiving the payment in 7-10 days. Well that 7-10 days has turned into another 30 days!!! I have been told everything from its being reissued to its should be there in about 2-3 days!! This is really scary. Its hard enough trying to get the non-custodial parent to pay period now they're holding the payments that are being sent. In my opinion Richard Bordreuax sounds more like a scam!!!! I don't know whether to believe them or not...I guess I will when I see the check - huh.

Signed,

:mad::confused: Still Waiting For My Payment in the Mail (2/5/2010)

ok these guys are scavanger debt collectors
they are not attorneys they can not sue you t
hey bought your debt for pennys on the dollar and are now trying to get the full amount crazy
i looked on line found sample letters for responding to such debt collectors u never admit the debt is yours that restarts you statue of limitations.
in your letter you tell them that the statute of limits ran out and that they are not to contact you period about this matter again send it certified even to a po box then you have proof because it is illegal for them to contact you after you send a cease and desist letter

I can tell you that support kids sold my mother in laws case to this Boudreau and Assocaites and they sent a wage garnishment to my father in law's employer. They have so far garnished $1000 from his paychecks and the money seems to be afloat in never never land. It's really quite ridiculous. They had already made arrangements to do a direct pay because Support Kids had not been giving her the money in a timely manner. Then all of a sudden he has garnished wages. The sad thing is the paperwork they sent is not even signed by a judge.

I see everyone complaining on here, so I figured I'd join. How on earth do we get out of using this company to collect our support? My daughters father is 38K behind in paying child support and sends in $50 once and awhile I think to keep them off his back, and they turn around and take 33% of that little bit of money he does send in. We're struggling so bad and I don't know what else to do, but if anyone has any ideas or have done it before...I'd love to know how to get out of this!!!

no one... attorney or corporation is allowed to call your workplace AFTER you have told them not to do so. you must have a record, i.e.phone record or copy of letter). if they continue to do so contact the trade commission in washington. it may seem like red tape, but they do put a stop to the calls at work as the person or company is fined for each violation verified by your records.

The FTC now allows you to send a letter that states "Cease of Communications" (I add to that, "by telephonic means" and state that letters will be accepted. Once the debt collector receives the letter, report all calls you receive from them. The FTC can fine them up to $1,000 per call up to $10,000 per day for contacting you.
