My son just recieved a letter stating "this letter is to inform you that the judgement rendered against you on behalf of a prior owner of the underlying account has been sold to our client". The letter came from Richard J Bourdeau's office.

So does this mean I can try to settle this account???

does it give you any details at all?were you ever served or a judgement against you?i would investigate this before contacting them.

you mean like negotiate or pay a settlement?did you see the letter?it should give details of this judgement.like a case#the plaintiff.i'm suggesting checking to see if there even was a judgement.if your son was served and didn't show that is the only way i see this being possible, and you can probably get it vacated due to inproper service.all i'm saying is this sounds fishy to me thats all.
