I am willing to pay him the money back on Monday plus the interest owed and for his time. I am in California and he is in Colorado. Also he keeps threatening to call my parents and has done so once in the past. Can he do that? And also can he do anything to me until Monday? I am so scared. and embarrassed. Please advise me ASAP.

Debt collectors are prohibited by FDCPA 805(c) from any communication with a third party regarding the collection of a debt, except for their limited ability under FDCPA 804 to call third parties solely to attempt to obtain your location information. Any disclosure to a third party that you are even alleged to owe a debt is a serious violation of FDCPA 805(c), and subjects them to legal action.
They may communicate with a consumer's parents regarding a debt ONLY if the consumer is a minor. FDCPA 805(d), which I presume does not apply to you. The only other third party that they may call is your spouse, as provided for under section 805(d).
I would not be overly concerned. The worst they can do is to bring legal action, to which you could respond by just paying the debt. They are just using scare tactics.
