SOL in Texas
Date: Thu, 01/06/2011 - 10:10
I want to send a PDF to RJM for two debts that are slated to fall off on 4/2011 and 6/2011. Will I restart the SOL if I send the letter? I have a blurb about not acknowledging the debt is mine, but didn't know if that would matter.
I appreciate any and all help. Thanks!

Hi!
Welcome to the forums!
The SOL period in Texas is 4 years. I assume The Sol period on your debts will expire in April and June 2011. If you enter into a new agreement with the RJM collection agency, then the SOL period on the 2 debts will restart again. This means that your creditors can sue you for the non-repayment of dues. Check out the following page to know more about RJM collection agency:

Will these fall off your credit reports on the dates you listed? If so, these are well past SOL in Texas. Send them a full cease comm letter if this is the case. The only thing that will reset SOL in Texas is a written acknowledgement of the debt and a written promise to pay.
