I didn't receive a call but I got a letter by mail. The wierd thing is that the name that they use is only my false name that I don't use on any of my important issues. I don't know what to do. I haven't called them to ask what the debt is about or anything, I have not written any checks or anything or took out any loans, I have just turned 18, where can these debts come from? Someone help me, should I call them? Should I pay them? What should I do?

There is no question of making any payment if you haven't taken out any loan. If you get a call again, ask for their contact details. Once you get their contact details, send them a debt validation letter via certified mail.

I got a letter by mail, but on the letter the name isnt even my legal name, like I had said before I would never use my made up name on anything other then letting my friends and teachers calling me by it. What is your opinion on this and what should I do?
