RPM trying to collect an old debt

RPM (Receivables Performance Management) sent me a letter trying to collect an old debt. I remember making payments to settle the debt 10 years ago. After that I haven't received any communication from original creditor or any other CA. Unfortunately i don't have receipts of payment (it's been so long) to the creditor. This doesn't even show up on my credit report.

How do I deal with RPM? I live in California now. The payment to settle was made in Texas 10 years ago.

Thanks in Advance!

The SOL clock and the credit report clock have stopped by now. You can very well ignore the debt.

if the SOL is truly up then you use that as your defense.if that is the case then no judge will allow it and it will be thrown out.let me check into this place further.be back real soon.
