Well for starters, if they have your phone number and work number, they have no reason to be calling your references. References are for location informaion only and since they do not need to locate you, no calls should be made/

I know this company very well and even know the owners, it is a reputable CA actually and they are within their rights (per the law as it read today) to do what they've done. SCA will work with you but if you lie, hide or try to scam them with fake checks, they will come after you. Sad but true, we have ALL been there (myself included) and it isn't any fun but for the most part, we are to blame for the debt (unless it is a mistake) that we accrued and it is a form of stealing not to repay said debt. I don't work for SCA but have known the owners for many years and they are good people...believe me, they are MUCH better than so many other disreputable CA's out there.

Jackie Dean Scott is a thief and a liar and nobody should be doing business with SCA Collections or with Jackie Dean Scott. I personally looked this guy up and he has prior felonies for theft of over $5,000 and for possession of a fairly larges quantity of marijuana. They stole $2,500 from me any help would be appreciated, I can be contacted at docwillcu at gmail dot com. SCA supposedly settled a judgment before my house was going to be taken away from me. Also, I was told that members of my family were also going to be sued by the Law Offices of Scott Cole and Associates so I paid them $2,500 to settle a judgement that stills shows active. I can not get a hold of anyone or find them. Again, any help would be appreciated.

I was a client of there's and have found out that they are in the process of filing bankruptcy. They did collect alot of money for me and I was paid on numerous accounts, but have found out that they fell on hard times. Its a shame that they have to close, I guess im just fortunate and hope the best for mr scott and his family

Since my last post was deleted for speaking the truth i will make it short and sweet......everyone needs to google Jason Van Dyke and read all the articles in reference to him. I assure you that you will be very enlightened at the end that it will make you reconsider what this man's intentions are.

I don't believe a word you say! I just goggled you and was shocked to find many articles on you in regards to what type of person you are and what your beliefs are. I can't believe you are trying to be a ring leader on a crusade against this company when public record shows that you are NOT one to believe or trust. My company used SCA Collect for only two accounts in April 2008 and luckily we did not encounter any problems with them. I hate to hear about the problems others are having with them, but thankfully we did not. I am very concerned that Mr. Van Dyke and others are posting phone #'s and addresses on them for in this day and age you never know what some crazy person might do. I think that is very uncalled for. Things should be handled properly and not done in such a way that someone may and could get harmed. Dyke being an attorney should no better, SHAME ON YOU!

I didn't see this post until today, but I will respond by saying that I hope some of you do google me. For those of you who have a problem with my political beliefs and are man enough to post on this forum using your real name, I am a pretty easy man to find. But I don't waste my time with losers like the last poster, so let me make this abundantly clear: It is my firmly held belief that people like Jackie Dean Scott belong in federal prison. Obviously, I can't put him there. What I can do is hound him night and day until he pays my client what he is owed. That is what I do. It's my job. And my political beliefs have nothing to do with it.

If you feel my political beliefs preclude me from practicing law, then file a complaint with the State Bar. Just do a google search for the Texas Bar website. The link is easy to find. Go ahead. Since it is a law firm, file a complaint with the State Bar against the representing attorney. You will have to identify yourself and prove your claim.

BUT, there appear to be 2 firms with the same name. The above one I mentioned is in Calif. There is a collection agency by the same name in Texas claiming "No Recovery, No Fee", and "the company that specializes in 7 day turnarounds" which to me translates into scaring the pants off of people to quickly rake in the bucks. Apparently they come out with both guns blazing.

BUT, the CA is called SCA Inc., and not Scott Cole & Associates, so hence the confusion.

These people are liars and theives. I hope no one will be making anymore payments to them. Trust me on this, they lie, steal, cheat and even their own friends know what low life trash they are. Jackie Dean Scott has been arrested several times on theft, and drug possession, he has even served time in jail. BE AWARE!!!! I hope they are shut down soon, never to reappear again.
