Yesterday I received a call from this company that I owed a debt to a company who we had done business with in the past. They got very pushy and eventually the conversation got threatening! We called the company that we were dealing with and they told us that they did not give anyone authorization to collect on their behalf! They told us that someone from SCA had called them and solicited their services and the said absolutely not! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! We filed a police report immediately to protect our property as they told us that they would come over and tear our house apart.

Beware of this company they have collected money for clients and then dont pay their clients, and when contacted for our money we are met with the most vile and insulting remarks, and they refuse to pay us the money they collected on our accounts, i have spoken tomany companies where they have done the same thing. They should be criminally prosecuted for their thefts!!!!!!!!!

Do not do business with this company. You'd be better off trying to settle with the company with whom you have the dispute. They drafted my account twice for over $3,000. The original negotiation was an ACH transfer. They created a counterfeit check to make the second draft.
Initially, they did return my calls and promise to refund the money. Then they ceased returning the calls and all of their numbers were disconnected. They also never responded to my e-mails.
Unfortunately, law enforcement will not do anything about any fraud they commit. I contacted the Garland Police Department and the FBI cyber crimes department. My bank even tried to work with them to recoup the money they withdrew from my account. They both said the theft is a civil matter, which means you have to sue them to attempt recovery of any lost funds.

They have even told clients to take their wives and daughters to the street corner and sell them to get money to pay back what they owe. They need to be SHUT DOWN. Agree, when you owe money somebody can attempt to collect that money but the Fair Debt Collections Act does not give carte blanche authority to be abusive or threatening. Just so everyone on this board is aware, I am an attorney here in Dallas and currently litigating a case against J. Dean Scott and his business. He is quite possible the most unpleasant defendant I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I am also an attorney here in Dallas litigating a case against SCA and J. Dean Scott and it has been one of the most unpleasant experiences of my career. We filed a default judgment today and are trying to locate assets. Do not deal with this company, they do not pay the money collected to their clients.

I work for a company and received a call from a Larry Allen from this company on Thursday, April 29th. He began talking very fast so that I could not get all his information then when I asked him to slow down, that is where the attitude began. He told me he was retained by his client, as if he is an attorney, to collect a debt. He began screaming and using profanity and when I had enough, I hung up. Are you kidding me.......i just googled so called attorney Jason Van Dyke and believe me i was stunned to see all the stuff written on him. He openly belongs to a underground hate group that basically hates everyone other than pure white people!!! If you don't believe me please google him to see what kind of individual he is it is all public record. I'm very curious to know if he just has a problem with the company because of it's diverse group of employee's (meaning majority are NOT all white!) I'm amazed this man has a license to practice law when it is evident he is unfair to other races!

My company used SCA for 2 accounts in April 2008 and luckily we did not have any problems. I hate to hear that others had a problem with them, but i'm rather unconfortable with the posting of phone #'s and addresses considering you never know what some crazy person might try to do. Only time will tell the outcome of this and who is right or wrong, but Mr. Van Dyke being an attorney should know that everyone is entitled to defend themself and by trying to put this company and employees in harms way is unethical and wrong. By the way i did just google the attorney and i can honestly say i fear for these people and the mental stability of this attorney and what his goal is.

Wow, these internet trolls are doing a lot of mudslinging, so I am going to give this forum a short education. My job is to collect past due accounts receivable for my clients. I have learned there is a right and a wrong way to do this. The right way is not nice, it is not pretty, and it is not glamorous. I am in this business to make money. Plain and simple.

Because I am in this business to make money, I like to surround myself with people who will help me earn money. I do not care, as the above posters have suggested, about their race, ethnicity, or any of that stuff. The sole determining factor I make in deciding whether to work for a company, hire an employee, or take on a client is whether doing so will help me in earning a profit. In a work environment, no other factor is important to me. My politics are irrelevant - as are theirs.

If those of you reading this message board have a problem with my personal beliefs, that's your right as far as I am concerned. But political disagreement is simply not relevant to this conversation. If someone wants to not hire me or my company for political reasons, that is perfectly fine with me. Obviously, that person is a loser in the business world because he is more concerned about his politics than he is about making money. I don't want someone like that as my employer or client any more than they want me as their employee/attorney.

I tell high school and college kids the same thing. Minority status doesn't matter. Anyone who thinks that their status as a poor and disenfranchised minority means anything to me can go cry to the civil rights commission, because I'm too busy. Similarly, anyone who thinks that their status as a white male evangelical somehow makes them more valuable to me can go cry to their grand wizard, because I'm too busy for them too. The way to make money in this world is to be useful to other people. This may not fit within the above-poster's definition of "fairness to other races" - but candidly - I could care less.

This is a horriable company to work for. They treat there employees like garbage. And have not ethics for people they are trying to help. This company is just a smaller verison of AIG.

They are using a fake entity called "Lords and Wakeman, Inc" as well which is using a PO Box at 9090 Skillman (obviously to avoid process servers). Some people are getting calls from a company purporting to be Lords and Wakeman, Inc. These are the same people. Generally the guy who calls says that "they have purchased all of the assets and assumed none of the liabilities" of SCA Collect. My position is that they are going to have to explain the legality of a transaction like that to a jury. I am an attorney and, in my opinion, transfers like that amount to a fraudulent conveyance of assets.

Catherine Krans was one of the key owners and is on two felony probations. From what I understand from a former partner Kyle L Dillard this company has shut down 100% and they have all parted on bad terms. Mr. Dillard is also on Parole

dscollections.com is there new company that they are starting out of Cedar Hill within the next month. I know this to be true because I was working for them.
