I just sent a validation letter to the law firm handling this account. Anyone have any idea what might be going on here? Thanks!

Meant to add... Make sure all your addys are correct on your CR.
Meant to add... Make sure all your addys are correct on your CR. make sure all your bills have your current addys... NAF is notorious for slipping a default judgement when all the paperwork was sent to an address where you currently lived...

here is the funny thing- I have pulled all of my credit reports, and all of my bills come to my current address and all the credit agencies have my current address on file. That is my question- how was I even supposed to defend myself when such an important paper was mailed to the wrong address? It is like they didn't want me to get it! I never would have, but my mother gave it to me, weeks after it had come to my parents house. Furthermore, THERE WAS NO DATE ANYWHERE ON THE LETTER. So how am I supposed to know when it was delivered, or exactly how many days had passed since the letter was written? I am having a hard time believeing that a default judgement can be made over this paper.
I sent out a letter to them to validate the debt, so we will have to see what happens. I think the SOL is up its from 1999~ and I am in Illinois, where the SOL in 5 years.
I just don't know what to expect now.
